Koutromanos<\/strong> is an Associate Professor in the Section of Mathematics and Informatics at the Department of Pedagogy and Primary Education of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.uoa.gr\/\">National and Kapodistrian University of Athens<\/a> (NKUA), specializing in &#8220;<strong>Information and Communication Technologies in Education<\/strong>.&#8221; Since September 2021, he has been the Director of the Informatics Laboratory of his Department, and as of April 2024, he serves as the Director of the Master\u2019s Programme \u201cMathematics Education and Information and Communication Technologies in Education.\u201d Additionally, he is the Director of the Joint Interinstitutional Master\u2019s Programme between his Department at NKUA and the University of the Aegean, titled \u201cEducational Design of Online Learning\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>He holds a bachelor&#8217;s degree in Education (B.Ed), a master&#8217;s degree (M.Sc.) in &#8220;Computers in Education&#8221; from NKUA, and two PhD degrees in ICT in Education &#8211; one from NKUA and one from King\u2019s College London, University of London. Additionally, he has conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Pedagogy and Primary Education at NKUA, focusing on Digital Games in Primary Education. His postgraduate studies were funded by the State Scholarship Foundation of Greece, the Leventis Foundation, the Japanese Sasakawa Foundation, the European Socrates-Erasmus programme, and the Principal of King\u2019s College London, University of London.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Koutromanos has 21 years of experience teaching various topics in ICT in Education at universities across Greece, including the University of Ioannina, the University of Patras, the former TEI of Western Greece, Harokopio University of Athens, the University of the Aegean, and the Hellenic Open University. Additionally, he has participated in several national and European research, educational, and training programs focused on the integration of ICT in Education. Most recently, he contributed to the REVEALING project (Erasmus+) as an academic specialist\/expert in designing educational scenarios for Virtual Reality learning environments in Higher Education Institutions. He has also participated in the Teachers 4.0 Digital project (Teachers 4.0 Digital Age: Tackling Disinformation and Promoting Digital Literacy through Education and Training in European Classrooms) (Erasmus+), as well as in the EU Horizon 2020 CoHERE project (Critical Heritages: Performing and Representing Identities in Europe) [funded by EU\/Horizon 2020 under G.A. No 693289], where he was involved in evaluating the Serious Game Eurocraft: Dialogues in Critical Heritages through Vid-Maps.<\/p>\n<p>His scholarly work (182 publications) focuses on various aspects of ICT in education, while his recent research explores the potential and integration of emerging technologies in educational contexts.
